Annual Meeting

Not all Jam and Jerusalem!

Some members are good at making jam, some are not. Some excel at cakes and pastries and some definitely do not! Some love gardening, amateur dramatics, travel, handicrafts, discussing current affairs etc.

But we all have in common that we enjoy meeting together and learning something new – preferably with some humour thrown in. This may be through an entertaining speaker, a quiz or workshop of some kind. We also enjoy outings and suppers, walks and lunches between the monthly meetings throughout the year.

At the same time we are part of a wider organisation and members may participate in East Yorkshire Federation events, outings and workshops if they wish. Denman College in Oxfordshire offers many extremely varied courses for members and non-members alike. Campaigns on important issues also feature highly in the work of the organisation.

If you would like to visit or join a friendly and caring group of ladies, do come to one of our meetings. These are normally held on the first Wednesday of the month in Christ Church hall by the pond. You will be made most welcome.
